A 1990 graduate of Indianola High School, Randy Brandt was a two sport athlete for the Indians earning 7 varsity letters in football and soccer. On the football field he was recognized as an all-conference kicker for Coach Summy and was known for his consistency and coming through when the team needed him. Randy played soccer for Coach Paul Rogalla and was a member of the soccer team that had a four year record of 39-19-5. His freshman year, he was recognized as 2nd team all-conference halfback. The following three years Randy continued to excel on the “pitch” earning first team all conference selection for the Indians. Randy participated back in the days when soccer was not a sanctioned sport by the IHSAA. Randy was known for playing a very aggressive style of soccer, with 78 career steals, 400 shot attempts and 27 assists. His career mark of 55 goals is still a school record for the Indians. Randy went on to play soccer at University of Arkansas, Little Rock. He would like to thank coaches Paul Rogalla and Dave Summy for their support during his high school days. Randy has continued to stay involved with soccer over the years as a coaching on and off for the past 18 years, two of which were spent in South America. He is currently Vice President at Claim Technologies Inc. He and his wife Maggie live in Indianola. They enjoy supporting the Indians and watching their two children, Chris and Anna.
