Noah Kittelson is a 2010 graduate of Indianola High School. During his years as an Indian, Noah was a 4-time CIML Conference Champion, a 3-time Drake Relay Champion and a 3-time State Meet high jump champion. Noah’s reputation of consistency in the high jump earned him All State recognition in Track and Field. Noah’s high school personal best jump of 7 feet 1/2 inch puts him in an elite club of Iowa jumpers who have attained that 7 ft mark. His senior year he also placed 4th in the long jump at the state meet.
After high school, Noah attended the University of Arkansas on a track scholarship. While at Arkansas, Noah’s honors and success continued. As a freshman, he was selected as a member of the SEC All Freshman Team. Noah was a member of the SEC All Conference Team, was a 2-time national qualifier in the high jump with a personal best of 7ft 3.25 inches. He was a member of six SEC Track and Field Championship Teams and a member of the University of Arkansas 2013 NCAA Indoor National Championship Team.
Noah would like to thank several high school teachers and coaches that helped him throughout his days here at IHS; Mrs. Southall, Mrs. Wahlstrohm, Mrs. Garrels, Madame Priebe, Mr. Bertsch, Mr. Bob Young, and Coach Mark Tucker. Noah is currently living in Chicago where he is teaching biology for America Teaching High School Chicago Vocational Career Academy.
