Antoine was a special player for Coach Dave Summy and the Indianola Football team. In 1998 he caught 34 passes for 594 yards and 4 touchdowns. As a junior, he was selected to the CIML 1st Team AllConference squad on a team that averaged over 30 points a game. He helped lead his team to a 7 – 2 record and a class 4A playoff game versus Dowling Catholic. As a senior the Indians finished with 8 – 1 record lead by Antoine’s 60 catches, 851 yards and a CIML record of 16 touchdowns on a offense that averaged close to 43 points per game. His senior year he received several honors including being selected as a member of the First Team All-State Elite, the Des Moines Register First Team All-State, INA First Team All-State, and First Team All-Conference. He was also selected to take part in the annual Iowa Shrine Bowl his senior year. After his senior football season, Antoine was heavily recruited by several Division I School including UNI, Iowa, and several others, but it was Kansas State University that Antoine selected. As a Wildcat, Antoine collected 41 receptions for 512 yards and 2 touchdowns. Some collegiate highlights include 2003 appearances in the Big XII Championship game against #1 ranked Oklahoma where he caught a TD pass helping them to a 35-7 win over the Sooners. Antoine also was also a member of a Wildcat teams that played in four bowl games including the Cotton, InSight.Com, Holiday, and Fiesta Bowls. Antoine credits much of his success to Coaches Dave Summy and Mark Tucker, as well as his mother, Janna Polite. His future plans include continuing on with graduate school.
