ANDY MERRILL CLASS OF 1994 Andy Merrill is a 1994 graduate of Indianola High School. He was a three sport performer at Indianola. He was an All-Conference receiver in football and an honorable mention AllConference in basketball as a point guard. Baseball was the sport in which he was most talented. Andy was 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-District, and a 1st Team All-State second baseman his senior year. His stats easily show why he was able to attain these selections: He hit .325 for his career but hit .428 during his senior year; stole a school record 32 bases; had a career fielding percentage of .931. Andy went on to Simpson College to play baseball and again excelled. He was a four year letter winners and a two time Team Captain for the Storm. Last year, he led the team in hitting with a .431 average. Andy was Team MVP and was voted Best Offensive Player by his teammates. To round out his college honors, he was also 2nd team All-Conference. Andy will graduate from college this May.
