Five swimmers from Knoxville will be swimming for Indianola this weekend at the Marshalltown YMCA at the Girls State Swimming Meet starting tonight. Jorja Culver, Olivia Ramaeker, Olivia Bacon, Julian Bacon, and Codi Cram tell KNIA/KRLS Sports they are looking forward to cutting down their times and placing as high as they can, but also enjoying one final time with their teammates.

Jorja: “I’m hoping to drop time in my 200, maybe break 2:00.”
Olivia Ramaeker: “I’m hoping to break the 200 freestyle relay record.”
Julian: “I just want to have fun and enjoy the moment and do as best as we can.”
Olivia Bacon: “I agree, I hope everyone enjoys the experience and drop some times.”
Codi: “I hope to drop some times and spend our last meet with our seniors.”

Jorja Culver will swim in the 200 Freestyle while Olivia Bacon qualified in the 50 Freestyle. The 200 Freestyle Relay is made up of Culver, Ramaeker, Julian Bacon, and Olivia Bacon. The 400 Freestyle Relay is made up of Culver, Cram, Olivia Bacon and Ali Borgmeyer, who is an Indianola student. Preliminaries get underway tonight at 5:00 at the Marshalltown YMCA with finals tomorrow at 12:00pm.
