indianola-3

The Indianola football team continues their non-district schedule tonight against Little Hawkeye Conference rival Pella, looking to keep their record unblemished after a pair of wins to start the season. The #5 Indians are coming off of a 52-16 win over then ranked #7 Glenwood, showcasing a combined rushing and passing attack for over 350 yards, including a special teams and a defensive touchdown. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports #8 Pella is a program with a longstanding tradition of success, and he feels this game is a long time coming.

“They are very well coached, they got excellent players and a strong tradition so we are excited. As far as football, all the other sports these guys have been able to play Pella in basketball and baseball and things like that, but for football this is our first opportunity in my 18 years. Just another opportunity to start a strong rivalry with an excellent program.”

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play, pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30pm.
