A battle of extremes will take place at Indianola Stadium, as the #2 undefeated Indianola football team hosts winless Perry for the annual homecoming game tonight beginning district play. The Indians made it through their competitive non-district schedule with an unblemished record facing off against some of the top teams in class 4A, and have done so with an improved defense and a high-flying offense. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the depth of his team is due to hard work and guys stepping up.

“The biggest thing that i’ve seen is the seniors who didn’t play as juniors, or the juniors that were on the JV squad a year ago, I’ve really seen them elevate their game. And I think that has a lot to do with the veterans, the seniors that have a lot of experience. I think that’s the biggest thing, and as we continue to develop and improve, we are only going to get better and better throughout the season.”

Tonight’s game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA and the Indianola Activities Youtube channel, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30pm.
