The indianola volleyball team went 4-1 at the Urbandale Invitational Saturday, while the boys and girls cross country teams competed at Wartburg, the girls earning a 12th place finish and the boys a 14th place spot.

The #13 Indians volleyball squad took down Ames 2-0 winning 21-10 and 24-22, Southeast Polk 2-1 winning 15-21, 21-17, and 15-9, then won against Lewis Central 2-1, 21-25, 25-22, and 15-10, then swept Sioux City North 21-16 and 21-17. The Indians advanced to the knockout stage, before falling to rival Ankeny Centennial in the semifinals 2-0, 25-20 and 28-26. The Indians are now 17-11 on the season, and return to Little Hawkeye Conference play Tuesday hosting Newton.

The Indianola girls cross country squad was led by Emily Naughton in 36th, Jordyn Brown in 49th, and Bree Tenges in 54th, while the boys had a 32nd place finish from Curtis Johnson, and Logan Hoger earned a 43rd place spot. Both squads will next run Thursday in Fort Dodge. Find full results below.
